The 22nd MEU will take part in a wargame scenario to test
unit cohesion and night tactics.
An OPFOR force has occupied much of Chernarus and has established a wide array of support and high-value assets next to populated centers throughout the area. BLUFOR counter-battery radar has pinpointed the location of several regimental-type howitzers being used by OPFOR to provide effective indirect fire. Tactical aircraft have been unsuccessful in destroying the site due to dense foliage and vegetation -- along with a serious threat of MANPADs.
A USMC squad has been detached from the 22nd MEU and inserted North East of the area with the overall objective of destroying the fire base and its equipment. Operational Order

Area of Interest - AO Juliet
Area of Operation - Juliet - AO Juliet comprises of the locations depicted in figures 1 and 2.
Observation and Fields of Fire - Generally speaking, foliage and tree cover in the AO will provide adequate lanes of fire to engage infantry and vehicles from nearly any position.
Avenues of Approach - The scheme of maneuver will be determined by the GCE commander on site. Unit will be maneuvering on foot. Insert has already been successfully accomplished and an assembly area has been established. The element will exfil via pre-positioned CRRC's at Exfil 1.
Key Terrain - Critical terrain consists of OP-1 and OP-2.
Cover and Concealment - AO Julet consists of a rural setting with moderate to dense foliage easily capable of concealing squad size elements. Wooded areas in AO Oscar may provide sufficient cover from small arms when personnel are prone. Wooded areas will provide sufficient concealment from enemy observation from the air. Good cover in the AO is sparse to non-existent. Personnel will have to utilize ground cover or buildings located in the AO to shield from fire.
Weather - 80 degrees F. Chance of precip 75% Winds light and variable. Visibility > 6KM. Chance of fog heavy enough to degrade visibility.
Composition - Eastern Bloc conventional infantry with motorized attachments.
Disposition - Defensive posture.
Strength - Expect company +. Enemy assumed to be in good supply. Enemy forces are assumed fully combat effective at the time of the FTX. Enemy assumed to have limited night vision equipment.
Recent Activities - Setup fire base at objective "STONEWALL."
MLCOA - Mass forces and overwhelm USMC forces with motorized equipment.
MDCOA - Dig in and defend objectives.

NOTE: ALL PERSONNEL WILL UTILIZE IRON SIGHTS DURING THIS FTX. MAGNIFIED OPTICS WILL NOT BE USED. PERSONNEL WILL FOLLOW INSTRUCTION FROM THEIR FTL REGARDING WEIGHT AND EQUIPMENT.
